Me Too!

Our unique program for children with special needs

Dance gives us expression, stress release, body control, increased physical awareness, musicality, and most of all, dreams. We believe that every child deserves the chance to experience the freedom and joy of dance.

“Me Too” is a fitting name for a program that teaches children that they too, can dare to dream…and dance”

We now, and always will, offer our mainstream dance class to all children. In some cases, however, certain children would benefit from a class specifically tailored to their needs. We are looking forward to adjusting our dance program to accommodate children who might not otherwise get to participate. We do not claim to know everything about all disabilities but I know we can give these children a gift they will not soon forget.

Dance gives us expression, stress release, body control, increased physical awareness, musicality, and most of all, dreams. We believe that every child deserves the chance to experience the freedom of dance.

“Me Too” seems like a fitting name for a program that will teach children that they too, can dare to dream…and dance!

Classes

Expressions – for Autistic Children – ages 3-8

For years, we have included many children on the autism spectrum in our mainstream dance classes. Finally, we can offer a class tailored to their needs. The class structure will remain the same for each class. By using the same songs, comfort level will increase and children will begin to connect through singing and movement. The class will utilize bean bags, toys, hula hoops, musical instruments and parachutes to encourage speech and new language. We have had great success with this class and are very happy to offer it!
