Me Too!

What is Me Too?

For years, we have included many children with special needs in our mainstream dance classes. Me Too is a special program with classes tailored to their specific needs.

Together with an occupational therapist, our dance staff combines the movement games, fun music and dance skills from our mainstream classes to provide a unique experience. Thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers, we have a 1:1 ratio in our Me Too classes so that every child has the assistance they need to be successful.

The class structure remains the same for each class. By using the same songs, comfort level will increase and children will begin to connect through singing and movement. The class utilizes bean bags, toys, hula hoops, musical instruments and parachutes to encourage speech and new language. Using vision boards, the children can anticipate what is happening next and prepare for trainsitions easily. We have had great success with this class and are very happy to offer it!

Me Too: Saturday 9:45-10:30 Ages 8 and up

Dance gives us expression, stress release, body control, increased physical awareness, musicality, and most of all, dreams. We believe that every child deserves the chance to experience the freedom and joy of dance.

“Me Too” is a fitting name for a program that teaches children that they too, can dare to dream…and dance”
