Meet Our Staff!

Teri Mangiaratti is the owner and director of In Sync Center of the Arts and the proud mother of two young boys! Teri is a board member of the Greater Brockton Dance Teachers Association and on speaking faculty at DanceLife Retreat Center and DanceLife Teachers Conference. Teri is also a founding board member of IDEA – International Dance Entrepreneurs Association – an organization who educated studio owners around the world to run their studios with integrity, respect and emphasis on quality age appropriate dance education. Teri spend over a decade teaching for various south shore dance studios, coaching Weymouth High School Dance Team, Harvard Dance Team, Emmanual College Cheer Team, and various other High School Dance Teams. Teri worked for Universal Dance Association (UDA) teaching summer camps all over the country as well as chaperoning dancers to the Macy’s Parade, Paris New Year’s Parade, London New Year’s Parade and judging UDA regional and national competitions in Disneyworld. For the past 22 years, Teri has incorporated her BA in Child Psychology and Dance to create an environment rich with growth. As a mom, she knows that the decisions you make for your children are very important and is honored to be a part of your family’s life. She is committed to providing your children with quality arts education, positive role models, and lots of fun!


Lauren Pauly has been involved in dancing and the performing arts since a very young age.  After formal training with Ballet Metropolitan in Columbus Ohio, under the direction of Wayne Soulant for her formidable years, she continued her passion for dance, theatre and performance into her early 20’s by performing in school, competitive, community, and traveling professional theater productions. After attending Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design, she worked in printing production, advertising and merchandising design for ten years in Boston before moving to Milton to work in non-profit fundraising, public relations and event planning while raising her three daughters – all who danced at In Sync! After experiencing the amazing In Sync community of engaging teachers, mission of inclusivity, and exceptional quality instruction as a parent first hand, she was delighted to be asked to join the staff in 2009. Lauren is currently the Office Manager and Customer Service Director and is always happy to answer any question you have big or small! 


Israel Coulter know as Izzy around the studio, graduated from Curry College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management while concentrating in Accounting, and minoring in Communications.  Mr. Izzy has been playing the drums since he was three years old, and has been operating his DJ business for 13 years.  Mr. Izzy has been with In Sync for 10 years as a Hip Hop instructor and is now our Hip Hop program curriculum director.  Mr. Izzy began our Boys Only Hip Hop program and continues to inspire those boys today.  Mr. Izzy has bought wonderful energy to his hip hop classes and our students love him! He is super excited to bring even more to his classes this season and is thrilled to be working with a huge group of Hip Hop Competitive Company dancers this season!


Amy Enos has been dancing for over twenty years competing with a dance troop locally and in New York.  Previously, a full time preschool director, Miss Amy has an associate’s degree in early childhood education and integrates her love of children into every class she teaches.  Miss Amy has been teaching classes at In Sync for the past 14 years. Miss Amy is the founding teacher and director of our Me Too dance program for special needs and is happy to be making a difference in so many lives! When not in the classroom, you will see Miss Amy in the office managing the hustle and bustle of our busy afternoons and directing our preschool curriculum and programs!

Mary Quigg danced with In Sync for over 10 years and was a classroom assistant for 5 years. This year will be Miss Mary’s 7th year as a teacher on staff.  Mary is a graduate from Bridgewater State University, and is working toward her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.  Miss Mary is the director of our Summer Programs, and the Director of our grades 1&2 and grades 3&4 programs as well as the Senior Performance Team.  Miss Mary is excited to share her passion and love for dance with all her students!

Amy Stanton has been teaching at In Sync for the last 10 years!  She graduated from Lasell College with Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and is licensed as an Audiology Assistant in the state of MA.  Miss Amy teaches the Jr. Performance Team and is the Director of the Student Internship Program, managing all the dance class assistants.  Miss Amy strives at creating a positive environment for all the students at In Sync and we love her dedication to a well rounded dance education with a nurturing approach!

Mary Haddad Mary spent 18 years as a performer and teacher in NYC before returning to the area in 2017. As a performer, Mary sang and danced around the world in lead roles in musicals including Grease, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, 42nd Street & Chicago, as well as kicking up her heels as a Singer/Dancer aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines. Trained in classical ballet, Mary studied and performed with Children’s Ballet Workshop and Boston Ballet and holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Mount Holyoke College.  She has been on staff at Broadway Dance Center in NYC as well as Broadway Classroom, an educational program through She also has choreographed local productions of Mary Poppins & High School Musical – as well as upcoming productions of Joseph.. Dreamcoat & Fiddler on the Roof. Mary is certified by Acrobatic Arts and will be teaching AcroPetite, Ballet, our Musical Theater Company and will be directing our winter ballet, The Little Mermaid! She is also a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

Emily Cordell grew up dancing with Ballet Orlando at the Royal School of Dance in Florida. Her dancing continued at Valencia College, University of South Florida and Jacksonville University where she received a BFA in Dance Performance with minors in Theater and Humanities. She has been a dance educator throughout the US for nearly 20 years in dance studios, performing arts middle and high schools, and as an adjunct professor at Valencia College, and as an adjudicator in New Mexico, Ohio, and Florida and as a judge for NexStar Competition. As a proud military wife, Emily continues to travel the world as a dance educator. Emily is a certified Acrobatics Arts instructor and will be teaching Acro and Ballet this year. We excited to have Emily join us for her 2nd season!

Juliana Wiley grew up in Albany NY dancing and competing with Eleanor’s School of Dance Dance Competition Team. Throughout high school, she also participated in many musical productions and her love of the arts pushed her to pursue dance as a career. She attended University at Buffalo and received a BFA in dance and a BA in Psychology. Upon graduation, she moved to Boston to further her dance career dancing for Urbanity Underground, Tribe: The Dance Company and Nozama Dance Collective. She is super excited about sharing her knowledge and passion for dance with the students at In Sync! Juliana will be teaching jazz, tap and contemporary classes this fall!

Lauren Murphy grew up dancing at In Sync and was a student here for 10 years before she graduated from high school.  Her favorite part of dancing at In Sync was being a Company Dancer and getting to participate in regional competitions.  Miss Lauren teaches full time at In Sync and you can see her at the studio Monday – Saturday teaching Minimoves, Kindermoves and Acro. Lauren is a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor and will be teaching in all of our Acro classes this year! Lauren is also the director of our Acro Program and the Birthday Party program coordinator and is excited to be planning tons of parties for our students this year!

FullSizeRenderJVJulie Vaulding grew up dancing at In Sync, and has been part of our teaching staff for the past 12 years! Miss Julie’s energy and love of dance come through in everything she does.  Julie graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy where she earned her bachelor’s degree in radiological sciences in 2010.  She has worked as radiation therapist for the past 5 years and more recently became certified in MRI.  Miss Julie is a pleasure to have as part of the In Sync team and you can often find her subbing in for classes at the studio!

IMG_3915Jen Alberino holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked with children since 1993!  Miss Jen is outgoing, fun, loving, and has a positive attitude.  Miss Jen has been working for In Sync for the past 8 years.  Miss Jen assists in our Mini Moves & Kinder Moves classes in the mornings and teaches our Totally Twos classes.  She is very excited to bring her skills, love of children, and her never ending creative ideas to our In Sync Families!

Lauren Hamaty has been dancing for over 20 years and is excited to be returning to In Sync for a 4th  year!  She attended Emerson College and earned a BFA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing with a minor in Dance. Miss Lauren danced for the Emerson Dance Company.  She is currently pursuing her career as a dietitian with has a Master’s Degree in Nutrition.  Miss Lauren is the smiling face you will see teaching Minimoves classes every Saturday morning!

Norwood Pearson holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Berklee College of Music and a Masters of Music Education from Gordon College.  He also holds an elementary Piano Teaching Certification from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. He has served as the Middle School Instrumental Specialist for Braintree Public Schools for the past 11 years. As a guitarist, his performance credits include The Platters, Peaches & Herb, The Drifters, The Coasters, and Delores ‘LaLa’ Brooks.  Norwood believes that everyone has the ability to make music and strives to help his students achieve their full potential.  In Sync is thrilled to have Norwood back for his 10th year teaching guitar, piano, woodwinds, and strings.

Dave Prendergast graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music.  He enjoys being a music educator because it allows him to utilize his skills as a musician and performer to provide students with quality music education.  Dave is one of the founders of In Sync’s music program and is joining us for his 11th year!  Dave teaches guitar, bass, piano, & brass and believes in using a traditional pedagogical technique intertwined with modern technologies. 

Petrina Kenn-Foley, In Sync’s Music Director is a Boston raised and trained singer, songwriter, and teacher with over 16 years’ experience as a professional singer/songwriter, performer and recording artist. She has released two full-length albums as well as three EP’s of original music, along with her regional and national touring. After studying Music Business & Recording at the Art Institute in Brookline, MA as well as Vocal performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and the Musician’s institute in Los Angeles, CA, Petrina took that knowledge and began her journey as a voice and music teacher. With over eight years of teaching experience, Petrina’s undying passion for singing and the power of the human voice is something that she brings with her into each lesson. Petrina specializes in the styles of rock, pop, country, and soul/R&B with each individual student’s needs and goals. She will be teaching voice, piano, and guitar this year

Robert Barton started learning to play the organ at the age of six and has continued to learn new instruments all his life. He has studied from a wide variety of music teachers and was a student at the Dallas Baptist Conservatory during the late 1980’s.  Rob has played in Drum Corps, marching and concert bands.  For two decades he has taught many private student and numerous ensembles.  Rob will be teaching piano, guitar, brass, flute, and strings at In Sync again – his 5th year with us!

Zac Stein is an experienced percussionist and guitarist, specializing in both conventional drum technique and hand drumming.  Zac is well-versed in many styles of performance including rock, funk, pop, jazz, Latin, metal, and more.  He can be found actively gigging in several Boston-based bands, whose styles range from acoustic pop to prog metal.  Zac will teach is students to maintain both excitement and professionalism, while learning the technical aspect of percussion.  In Sync is so pleased to have Zac back for his 5th year here teaching guitar and drums.

Clinton Degan “Degan” has been a pianist for over two decades and a guitarist just as long.  His musical pursuits include musical directorship at Suffolk University, various stints in the pit in both traditional and experimental theater, a 13-piece rock ensemble, studio work, and acclaimed output in composition and arrangement.  Degan is excited to be teaching guitar and piano in his 6th year here at In Sync!

Michael Murray is a lifelong Boston resident and piano teacher. He is very excited for his 4th season with In Sync after returning from two national tours, playing piano & bass. An alumni of Berklee College of Music, Mike was a film scoring major and enjoys utilizing a series of composition techniques in his teaching methods. He is also an enthusiastic music director for theatre in Quincy Public Schools and elsewhere. 

Ben Mafera holds a BM in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire and has his Kodaly Certification from the New England Conservatory. A tenor, Ben has performed extensively as a vocal soloist, chorister, choral conductor and church musician throughout New England. As a soloist he has performed with the Pilgrim Festival Chorus and with Mastersingers by the Sea. In addition to his second year instructing voice, piano and guitar here at In Sync, he currently serves as the director of music at Crossroads Worship Center in Weymouth. Ben teaches his lessons with a three-pronged focus; technique, literacy and artistry. Each lesson with his students will focus on the interplay of all three prongs.
