Teri Mangiaratti is the owner and director of In Sync Center of the Arts and the proud mother of two young boys! Teri is a member of the Greater Brockton Dance Teachers Association and on speaking faculty at DanceLife Retreat Center and DanceLife Teachers Conference. For the past 20 years, Teri has incorporated her BA in Child Psychology and Dance to create an environment rich with growth. As a mom, she knows that the decisions you make for your children are very important and is honored to be a part of your family’s life. She is committed to providing your children with quality arts education, positive role models, and lots of fun!
Lauren Pauly has been involved in dancing and the performing arts since a very young age. She performed in school, community, and traveling professional theater productions. After receiving a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Miami University she worked in printing production, advertising and merchandising design for ten years. Lauren worked in fundraising, public relations and event planning for the nonprofit sector before accepting the office manager position at In Sync. This will be Lauren’s 6th year on staff!
Julie Sullivan has been at In Sync since the very beginning! Miss Julie’s role at In Sync has changed throughout the years and she is currently the director of the preschool program and program manager. Miss Julie is a 1995 graduate of the Boston Dance Teachers Club dance education training course and also holds a 200 hour yoga certification. Miss Julie teaches Mini Moves & Kinder Moves classes, as well as Tap for grades 5&up!
Maggie Crowley holds a BFA in dance and a BA in political communications from Emerson College. She has danced with numerous Boston choreographers and companies including Kelly Donavon, Tanja London, Big Moves, Boston Dance Company, and Ballet Rox. She received her early training in Vaganova technique at Valley Ballet in Collinsville, CT. Miss Maggie is certified in levels Pre-Primary-3 of the American Ballet Theater National Training Curriculum. Maggie has been teaching at In Sync for the past 10 years and is the director of our ballet program as well as creating lesson plans and choreography for our Mini Moves, Kinder Moves, and Grades 1&2 classes.
Israel Coulter know as Izzy around the studio, graduated from Curry College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management while concentrating in Accounting, and Minoring in Communications. Mr. Izzy has been playing the drums since he was three years old, and has been operating his DJ business for 11 years. Mr. Izzy has been with In Sync for 6 years as a Hip Hop instructor. Mr. Izzy began our Boys Only Hip Hop program and continues to inspire those boys today. Mr. Izzy has bought wonderful energy to his hip hop classes and our students love him!
Amy Enos has been dancing for over twenty years competing with a dance troop locally and in New York. A full time preschool director, Miss Amy has an associate’s degree in early childhood education. Amy integrates her love of children into every class she teaches. Miss Amy has been teaching classes at In Sync for the past 10 years. Miss Amy is the founding teacher of our Me Too dance program for special needs and is happy to be running that program and making a difference in so many lives!
Amy Stanton has been teaching at In Sync for the last 7 years! She graduated from Lasell College with Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and is licensed as an Audiology Assistant in the state of MA. Miss Amy teaches kinder moves, combo grades 1&2, combo grades 3&4, and the Jr. Performance Team. Miss Amy is currently the Director of the Student Internship Program, managing all the dance class assistants. Miss Amy strives at creating a positive environment for all the students at In Sync.
Hannah Evans began dancing at In Sync at the age of 3! She was the former captain of the Weymouth HS Dance Team, and she recently graduated with Bachelor’s degree in English from Roger Williams University where she was the president of the Dance Club. In addition to her dance teaching she is an English teacher at Plymouth North High School. Hannah has been teaching some of our summer programs and is excited to be teaching grades 1 & up this fall!
Lauren Murphy grew up dancing at In Sync and was a student here for 10 years before she graduated from high school. Her favorite part of dancing at In Sync was being a Company Dancer and getting to participate in regional competitions. You may have seen Miss Lauren assisting some of our Mini Moves and Kinder Moves classes last season. She is excited to now be teaching this special age group this fall!
Julie Vaulding grew up dancing at In Sync, and has been part of our teaching staff for the past 10 years! Miss Julie’s energy and love of dance come through in everything she does. Julie graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy where she earned her bachelor’s degree in radiological sciences in 2010. She has worked as radiation therapist for the past 5 years and more recently became certified in MRI. Miss Julie brings a wonderful sense of humor and love to her Mini Moves classes, and is looking forward to another great year at In Sync!
Kelli Neville is so excited to be joining the In Sync team this year. She is a Milton native and a graduate of Bridgewater State University where she studied Education & Communications. Miss Kelli began dancing at just 1 year old and never stopped. Miss Kelli was a member of the In Sync cheerleading program, and was a member of the Milton High School Hip Hop and competition dance teams. Miss Kelli received the first team all-star award her senior year. Miss Kelli was a member of the Bridgewater State University Dance Company throughout college. Miss Kelli will be working with our dancer’s grade 3 & up this year!
Sheila Varela holds a B.A. in communications/Theater Arts from Suffolk University. She has studied dance, movement and acting for over 20 years. She spent several years on the dance staff of the former Let’s Dance Studios in Quincy and Weymouth and has performed and assisted with choreography/movement for many Boston area theaters. Over the past 10 years on staff at In Sync Miss Sheila has worked with Mini Moves, Kinder Moves, and Combo grades 1&2 classes. Miss Sheila is very excited to add Tap for grades 5 & up to her schedule this year!
Kerri Grippi graduated from Quincy College with an associate’s degree in early childhood education. Miss Kerri worked for several years in the financial industry before she became a stay at home mother. She has been teaching at In Sync for 6 years and will be continuing teaching the totally twos, mini moves and kinder moves classes. Miss Kerri also co-teaches the Jr. Performance Team.
Jen Alberino holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked with children since 1993! Miss Jen is outgoing, fun, loving, and has a positive attitude. Miss Jen has been working for In Sync for the past 4 years and is currently the manager of the Lego Club and Laugh & Learn programs. Miss Jen also assists in our Mini Moves & Kinder Moves classes in the mornings. She is very excited to bring her skills, love of children, and her never ending creative ideas to our In Sync Families!
Mary Quigg danced with In Sync for over 10 years and was a classroom assistant for 5 years. This year will be Miss Mary’s 4th year as a teacher on staff. She is currently studying for her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences at Bridgewater State University, and hopes to earn her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Miss Mary is the director of Birthday Parties, teaches 1&2 grade, 3&4 grade combo classes, as well as the Performance Team. Miss Mary is also one of the head teachers in our Me Too Program for special needs students. Miss Mary is excited to share her passion and love for dance with all her students!
Lauren Hamaty has been dancing for over 20 years and is excited to be returning to In Sync for a 2nd year! She attended Emerson College and earned a BFA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing with a minor in Dance. Miss Lauren danced for the Emerson Dance Company. She is currently pursuing her career as a dietitian with has a Master’s Degree in Nutrition. You may have seen Miss Lauren assisting Miss Kerri’s Mini Moves classes or hosting our birthday parties. She will also be assisting Mr. Izzy this year!
Stephanie Vaughn was a dancer at In Sync for 4 years while she was in high school and has been teaching for 7 years since. She graduated from Stonehill College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and will be pursing her MBA in finance at Boston University this fall. Miss. Stephanie teaches Grades 1&2 Combo, Grades 1&2 Hip Hop, and Grades 3&4 combo. She looks forward to learning as much from her students this year as they do from her!
Norwood Pearson is the director of our music program. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Berklee College of music. He currently teaches middle school band, orchestra, and jazz band for Braintree Public Schools. He is currently working on his Masters of Music Education at Gordon College. Norwood believes that everyone has the ability to make music and strives to help his students achieve their full potential. In Sync is thrilled to have Norwood back for his 6th year teaching guitar, piano, woodwinds, and strings.
Dave Prendergast graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music. He enjoys being a music educator because it allows him to utilize his skills as a musician and performer to provide students with quality music education. Dave is one of the founders of In Sync’s music program and is joining us for his 7th year! Dave teaches guitar, bass, Piano, & Brass and believes in using a traditional pedagogical technique intertwined with modern technologies.
Petrina Foley is a Boston raised and trained singer, songwriter, and teacher with over 7 years’ experience in private lessons. Petrina specializes in the styles rock, pop, country, soul, and R&B. She creates a unique lesson plan designed to fit each individual’s needs. She focuses on breathing techniques, working through breaks, maintaining stamina, delivery with conviction, and building power and control. Petrina is very excited for her 2nd year here at In Sync. She will be teaching voice, piano, and guitar this year!
Robert Barton started learning to play the organ at the age of six and has continued to learn new instruments all his life. He has studied from a wide variety of music teachers and was a student at the Dallas Baptist Conservatory during the late 1980’s. Rob has played in Drum Corps, marching and concert bands. For two decades he has taught many private student and numerous ensembles. Rob will be teaching piano, guitar, brass, flute, and strings. In sync welcomes to our staff this year!
Zac Stein is an experienced percussionist and guitarist, specializing in both conventional drum technique and hand drumming. Zac is well-versed in many styles of performance including rock, funk, pop, jazz, Latin, metal, and more. He can be found actively gigging in several Boston-based bands, whose styles range from acoustic pop to prog metal. Zac will teach is students to maintain both excitement and professionalism, while learning the technical aspect of percussion! In Sync welcomes Zac to his first year on staff.
Clinton Degan “Degan” has been a pianist for over two decades and a guitarist just as long. His musical pursuits include musical directorship at Suffolk University, various stints in the pit in both traditional and experimental theater, a 13-piece rock ensemble, studio work, and acclaimed output in composition and arrangement. Degan has been a substitute teacher at In Sync for the past two years and is excited to join the staff as a teacher this year! He will be teaching piano and guitar.
Maureen Nee has been with In Sync since the beginning. Her daughter started as a student in our mini moves class and continued dancing through her senior year of high school. Miss Maureen has been working as the office manager of a local glass company for the past 30 years, and joined the In Sync customer service team 5 years ago. Miss Maureen is excited to continue assisting our families in the afternoon at the front desk. Miss Maureen recently had her first grandchild stop by the desk and ask how he’s doing!
